Welcome to Grade 2!
Mrs. Simons
Welcome back to another school year! I hope that everyone had a fun and restful summer vacation. I look forward to hearing about all of your adventures! Many of you probably recognize me from across the hall. I look forward to nourishing and challenging your minds with new, fun and interesting materials.
For those of you who don't know me we're going to be spending a lot of time together this year so I thought I should take some time to introduce myself to you.
My name is Mrs. Simons; this is my twenty-first year teaching in Providence, and my 18th year teaching at Pleasant View. I grew up in North Providence and after graduation attended Providence College where I got my bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education. I now live in Scituate with my husband and two children, Noah and Emma. I love to ride my bike and I enjoy exercising by taking spin, TRX, and Kickboxing classes. I also like to run. This year I ran three half marathons and plan to run one in October. When I have time I enjoy scrapbooking and listening to music. Growing up my dream was to be a teacher and I am very excited to be living my dream and to have you be a part of it.
